25:8
"But if you will go, do it, be strong for the battle: Alahiym shall make you fall before the enemy: for Alahiym hath power to help, and to cast down."
25:9

The Financial Test of Trust

And Amasyahu said to the man of Alahiym, "But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Yashar'al?" And the man of Alahiym answered, "𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 is able to give you much more than this."
25:10

25:15

The Indictment of the Uncalibrated King

Wherefore the anger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was kindled against Amasyahu, and He sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, "Why have you sought after the lo alahiym of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of your hand?"
25:16

The Rejection of the Seer

And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, "Art you made of the king's counsel? forbear; why should you be smitten?" Then the prophet forbore, and said, "I know that Alahiym hath determined to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not hearkened unto my counsel."
25:17

25:19
"You say, Lo, you have smitten the Edomites; and your heart lifteth you up to boast: abide now at home; why should you meddle to your hurt, that you should fall, even you, and Yahudah with you?"
25:20

The Judicial Blindness

But Amasyahu would not hear; for it came of Alahiym, that He might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the lo alahiym of Edom.
25:21

The Confrontation at Beth-Shamesh

So Yoash the king of Yashar'al went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amasyahu king of Yahudah, at Beth-Shamesh, which belongeth to Yahudah.
25:22
And Yahudah was put to the worse before Yashar'al, and they fled every man to his tent.
25:23

And Yoash the king of Yashar'al took Amasyahu king of Yahudah, the son of Yoash, the son of Yahahaz, at Beth-Shamesh, and brought him to Yarushalayim, and brake down the wall of Yarushalayim from the gate of Ephrayim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
