Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aharun. The sons of Aharun; Nadab, and Abihu, Elazar, and Ithamar.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Elazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

And Dawid distributed them, both Tzadok of the sons of Elazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.

And there were more chief men found of the sons of Elazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Elazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.

Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of Alahiym, were of the sons of Elazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

And Shamayahu the son of Nethanel the scribe, one of the Lawiytes, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Tzadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Lawiytes: one principal household being taken for Elazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

Now the first lot came forth to Yahuyarib, the second to Yadayahu,

The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

The fifth to Malkiyahu, the sixth to Miyamin,

The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abiyahu,

The ninth to Yahushua, the tenth to Shekanyahu,

The eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Yakim,

The thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Yashebeab,

The fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happitzez,

The nineteenth to Pethahiyahu, the twentieth to Yachezqel,

The one and twentieth to Yakin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,

The three and twentieth to Dalayahu, the four and twentieth to Maazyahu.

These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, according to their manner, under Aharun their father, as 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 Alahiym of Yashar'al had commanded him.

And the rest of the sons of Lawiy were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Yahdeyahu.

Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Yishiyah.

Of the Yizharites; Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth; Yahath.

And the sons of Chabrun; Yeriyahu the first, Amaryahu the second, Yahaziel the third, Yekameam the fourth.

Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah: of the sons of Michah; Shamir.

The brother of Michah was Yishiyah: of the sons of Yishiyah; Zekaryahu.

The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Yaaziyahu; Beno.

The sons of Merari by Yaaziyahu; Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

Of Mahli came Elazar, who had no sons.

Concerning Kish: the son of Kish was Yarahmeel.

The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Yarimoth. These were the sons of the Lawiytes after the house of their fathers.

These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aharun in the presence of Dawid the king, and Tzadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Lawiytes, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.
