The Attempt to Retrieve the Ark and the Breach of Uzza
And Dawid consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.

And Dawid said unto all the congregation of Yashar'al, "If it seem good unto you, and that it be of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 our Alahiym, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Yashar'al, and with them also to the priests and Lawiytes which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:"
13:3
"And let us bring again the ark of our Alahiym to us: for we inquired not at it in the days of Shaul."
13:4
And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
13:5
The Gathering at Kiryath-yearim
So Dawid gathered all Yashar'al together, from Shihor of Mitzrayim even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of Alahiym from Kiryath-yearim.
13:6
And Dawid went up, and all Yashar'al, to Baalah, that is, to Kiryath-yearim, which belonged to Yahudah, to bring up thence the ark of Alahiym 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, that dwelleth between the kerubim, whose name is called on it.
13:7
The Fatal Innovation of the Cart
And they carried the ark of Alahiym in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
13:8
And Dawid and all Yashar'al played before Alahiym with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
13:9
The Breach at the Threshingfloor
And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
13:10
And the anger of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before Alahiym.
13:11
And Dawid was displeased, because 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perez-uzzah to this day.
13:12
The Fear of the King
And Dawid was afraid of Alahiym that day, saying, "How shall I bring the ark of Alahiym home to me?"
13:13
The Quarantine at the House of Obed-edom
So Dawid brought not the ark home to himself to the city of Dawid, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
13:14
And the ark of Alahiym remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months. And 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that he had.
